Make your own martenitsa

Required materials: 2 balls of yarn - red and white (I used a very common Bulgarian market brand yarn YarnArt (50g, 150m, 100% Acrylic))  necessary tools: crochet hook (crochet) in a suitable size for the yarn (I used a hook with 1.5 mm greater - not a problem) ; centimeter (or line);scissors.

 Abbreviations used:
  • Home loop (NB)
  • Chain loop (WB)

Instructions for making:

Please note that all subsequent instructions are for right-handed. If you're left-handed, work on mirror shown.

1 Starting position thread - the thread end or short end is from the palm of your left hand. Denotes the short end of the thread with (1) and the continuation of the thread to the ball with (2). Wind sequel to thread the ball or thread (2), 2 times around the index finger (left hand) as shown in the picture more below. Leave long enough short end of the thread to be able to finally tie martenitsa (about 5 cm).

2 Home loop (NCD)

This is one of many possible ways to do NB.

Take the thread (1) and move after thread (2). Do not miss the thread of the pointer.

Now take the thread (2) and move it to the thread (1). Do not miss the thread of the pointer.

So the short end or thread (1) is again in the position of closest thread to pointer (from the palm of the left hand). Take the hook with his right hand and pierce it between the thread (2) and thread (1) so that the hook is under thread (1), as shown in the picture below.

Drop by the thread pointer and tighten (but not much) NCD on the hook. The loop is tightened from the short end of the thread.

Here you already have the first loop on the hook.

3 How to keep the thread when knit

Catch hook with NCD in his right hand. Slightly apart fingers of his left hand. Get working thread (the one that is on the globe) and curl around the index finger of his left hand 1-2 times. With little finger (and ring finger) on the left hand stick gently working thread, so you can adjust the tension (and length at release).

By the end of the working thread is maintained in this finding position in the left hand in the process of knitting adjust its allocation, ie length. With his right hand holding only the hook.
With the thumb and middle finger of his left hand caught NB at the base. In the process of knitting precisely with these two fingers of the left hand (thumb and middle) will hold knitting ( the closer to the hook stick, the better ).

 4 Chain stitch (WB)

Almost all models crochet begin with a chain loop (WB) or a series of WB (from where this loop is named). WB is one of the stitches in hook. The hook is threaded through ND. Keep working thread in his left hand tight and maneuvering hook, and twist once working thread around the hook (from the palm of your left hand) as shown in the picture below. Incidentally, what you did is called the mantle.

Now pull the thread through the loop in which the hook. Turn the hook down to hold nametnatiya thread on it.
Fasten the resulting loop. So spun one Coll.

Repeat this movement more times to make a lot Coll. If the loop that is on the hook is too tight, the harder you will be able to run your business thread through it to knit a new Coll. So my advice is to leave the loop on the hook more loose, and after guiding the thread to tighten novoizpleteneta Coll.Evenly knitting is the secret to beautiful knitting. So try sindzhircheto is neither too tight (because it happens in waves) nor too loose (because you will obazu vat holes). After weaving several WB surely you can now control how tightly to leave sind zircher.

Knit while  reach a length of about 23-25sm as of the loop. 5 Complete sindzhircheto Once you have reached the required length, time to complete the knitted . Expand loop that is on the hook in your right hand and pull the hook.

Use scissors to cut the working thread of about 5 cm. from the beginning of the loop, as shown in the picture below.

Thread the thread through loop and tighten.

You now have woven a sindzhircheto.

Now, knit 2 more Chains in appropriate color.

 6 Assembling the martenitsa

compounds (such as tie) ends of the 3 cords Chains, so from the sides are located the 2 Chains that are the same color. Start by joining early Coll.

Lace the 3 chains, a traverse them consistently, as shown in the pictures below until you reach the end of the Coll.

Connect (such as tie) ends - as the top - of sindzhirchetata and already have ready martenitsa!

That is already finished male and female maternity.

Give 'handmade' emotions and wishes for health and prosperity of your favorite people.
