- Worsted weight yarn in any color of your choosing. I used Lily Sugar ‘n Cream* for this example.
- Furls Size I Crochet Hook*
- Yarn Needle*
- Scissors*
- ch – chain
st(s) – stitch(es)
dc – double crochet
FPdc – front post double crochet
sk – skip
t-ch – turning chain
dc – double crochet
FPdc – front post double crochet
sk – skip
t-ch – turning chain
Multiple:
Multiple of 3
Gauge:
4 stitches & 1 row = 1″
Notes:
- If you are unfamiliar with post stitches, you can find a great tutorial here for FPdc.
Instructions:
Row 1: dc in the 3rd ch from hook and in each st across. Turn.
Row 2 cont’d: *1 dc into each of the next 2 sts, FPdc around the next st** Repeat from * to ** until the end of the row. Dc into the t-ch. Turn.
Row 3 cont’d: *Dc in the next st, FPdc around each of the next 2 sts** Repeat from * to ** until you reach the end of the row, working your last FPdc around the ch-3. Turn.
Row 4 cont’d: *1 dc into each of the next 2 sts, FPdc around the next st** Repeat from * to ** until the end of the row. Dc in the t-ch. Turn.
Rows 5-10: Repeat rows 3-4 to complete your 8×8 square. You can add a simple sc border or just leave it as is!
